Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The rooms were excellent, spacious, and spotless, with divans conveniently arranged at the back of the hotel. The service was welcoming despite some delays in clearing tables due to a special event. The location was just right for our needs, though a bit far out from the city center. Dining options had some hits and misses, but the facilities were satisfactory.
The hotel room was big with a comfortable bed and a nice, clean bathroom. Room 003 is a spacious disabled room with a big bath for wheelchair users. The room was well-located, but there were some issues with the heating, although a heater was provided. The cleanliness was good overall, despite some cobwebs above the bed. The towel shelf placement could be improved for easier access.
The hotel is situated right at the back of an industrial estate, which is a very odd location. Although the rooms were as expected, being ready early as requested and prepared, they were still extremely hot even the one with AC, with no other means of cooling available. The staff was helpful and polite, quick to resolve issues, and very friendly. The dining experience offered a wide choice of breakfast options, with plentiful food, but it wasn't amazing. The location didn't suit us well, as it was terrible for the price paid, but in the past, it had comfortable and clean rooms for an overnight stay.
Staying at the back of the hotel, we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which was a nice treat. However, the room was a bit too warm for our liking. The service was friendly and engaging, although we had some taxi issues that were beyond the hotel's control. The location had its pros and cons, being near the A5/M54 with a lovely view of the Wrekin but occasionally smelling unpleasant. The dining experience offered a wide variety of breakfast items, but was busy with limited toaster access and ran out of china mugs. Facilities were standard.
The hotel had spacious and clean rooms, equipped with everything needed, although my bed was so huge I almost needed a satnav to find my wife. The staff at reception couldn't resolve a minor issue. The service was exceptional, especially considering the current times. The location was convenient for various activities, with easy access to town. The dining experience was impressive with a wide selection of delicious items. The hotel offered good value for money given the facilities provided.
